Adam Weitzman, MD, is a Pain Management physician who practices in Newport Beach, California. He is double board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Weitzman earned his medical degree and graduated with honors from the Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City. He then completed an internship at the University of Pennsylvania before completing a residency in anesthesiology at Temple University, both in Philadelphia. Afterward, he finished an ACGME recognized fellowship in pain management at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in New York City, where he served as chief fellow.

He focuses on state-of-the-art therapies for acute and chronic pain. Dr. Weitzman uses a multidisciplinary approach that includes chiropractic care, physical therapy, massage therapy, stem cell therapy, and interventional pain techniques. His goal is to identify and eliminate the causes of pain that don’t respond to a single method of treatment so patients can live pain-free.

“With the use of image-guided pain injections, I am able to get the smallest amount of medicine necessary in the exact place where it is needed only. You just can’t do that with pain pills.”

Traditional Pain Management’s primary goal is the decrease your pain enough so that you can tolerate rehabilitation. Pain management provides extra help and support to joints and tissues that are not healing on their own. Common techniques include the use of numbing injections, anti-inflammatory injections, or medication and, radiofrequency ablation for nerve pain. When the body is suffering from too much pain and inflammation or if the nerves are overactive most patients are not able to tolerate physical therapy, myofascial release, or chiropractic care.

With the use of a digital x-ray camera called fluoroscopy, Dr. Adam Weitzman can safely target the tiny joints of the spine as we as larger joints like the knees, shoulders, hip, elbows, wrists, hands, ankle, and feet. Dr. Adam Weitzman commonly injects, pain-blocking medicine, anti-inflammatory medicine, or regenerative medicine into knotted muscles, inflamed or torn tendons, and arthritic joints.
